The Discovery 4 3.0 TDV6 SE has
collected the Best All-Terrain 4WD Award for 2010.
Not only is it the second consecutive year that
the Discovery 4 has brought home the gold, it
marks a record-breaking six consecutive years
that the Land Rover Discovery has won the Best
All-Terrain 4WD Award, proving once again it is
still the benchmark for all-terrain SUV's.
Nothing can match Discovery's outstanding breadth
of capability, luxury and refinement.
Australia's Best Cars had the following to say
about the Best All-Terrain 4WD winner:
"Versatility, on-road sophistication and
go-almost-anywhere off-road ability once again
made it impossible to go past Discovery 4 as our
all-terrain favourite".
This year it crossed swords with the Prado &
Land Cruiser turbo-diesel models from Toyota,
as well Mitsubishi's Pajero and Challenger models
and the Nissan Pathfinder. The Discovery 4 came
out in front thanks to better on-road handling,
a more premium interior, and efficient and powerful
diesel engine.
Chris Lidis, Land Rover Director Operations,
commented, ".....To receive this recognition
from such a respected authority is a fantastic
achievement at any time, but for Discovery to
win Australia's Best Cars Award six years in a
row,.... that is a testimony that this vehicle
is truly exceptional".
This award comes just days after the Discovery
4 was crowned the 2010 'Drive Car of the Year
- Best 4WD' for the second year running.
The Discovery 4 continues to offer unbeatable
versatility, capability and refinement. Alongside
the fresh exterior design, the premium interior,
improved dynamics and the more powerful and more
fuel efficient 3.0-litre TDV6 powertrain, it also
offers new state of the art user-friendly features
such as a Surround Camera system, Gradient Release
Control, Trailer Stability Assist and Tow Assist,
Automatic High Beam Assist and keyless entry.
The Discovery 4 has a recommended retail price
from $68,490 (plus on road costs).
