Iconic Jeep® Wrangler Captures More Awards

- Jeep® Wrangler wins “Instant Classic Under $30,000” category

- Recognition follows Four Wheeler magazine editors naming Jeep Wrangler “Best and Most Significant 4x4 Vehicle of the Decade,” and “Best New Car for Off-Roaders” award from Cars.com

- Wrangler provides legendary Jeep capability, interior space and comfort, and unique open-air fun

In the United States, the iconic Jeep® Wrangler has captured another prominent accolade, laying claim to the Edmunds’ Inside Line 2010 Readers’ Most WantedSM Award in the “Instant Classic Under $30,000” category.

In recognising the Jeep Wrangler, Edmunds’ Inside Line called the Jeep Wrangler “one of the few automotive icons in this world. It’s stayed true to its heritage and deserves the win, even in this strong, competitive group.”

Earlier this year, Jeep Wrangler was named the “Best and Most Significant 4x4 Vehicle of the Decade” by Four Wheeler magazine editors, and the “Best New Car for Off-Roaders” by Cars.com.

“This prestigious award from the readers of Edmunds’ Inside Line reinforces the fact that consumers love the Jeep Wrangler,” said Mike Manley, President and CEO – Jeep Brand, Chrysler Group LLC. “Wrangler continues to bring a smile to our customers’ faces, offering a unique blend of benchmark capability and pure open-air fun and adventure that only Jeep can provide.”

Jeep Wrangler offers a combination of benchmark capability, numerous safety and convenience features, interior space, versatility and comfort, on-road refinement and open-air fun as the only true 4x4 convertible.

Jeep Wrangler in Australia
Since launch, the latest Jeep Wrangler has been an instant hit with Aussie off-road enthusiasts, firmly placing Australia as the number one Wrangler market for Jeep outside North America

The legendary Jeep Wrangler consistently leads the way for Chrysler Australia, with recorded sales increases every month. Year to date, the Jeep Wrangler has sold just under 1,500 units for 2010, a significant increase on 2009.

In 2009, the Wrangler Rubicon won Overlander Magazine’s award for “best off-road vehicle” for the second year running, proving that the Jeep Wrangler is the ultimate off-road vehicle.
